About GuideLayer

A private AI assistant for Mac, built by the people at Sequenxa. We needed something we'd actually trust on our own machines. So we built it.

Why GuideLayer exists

Finding truth is Sequenxa's job. Protecting people is the point.

Sequenxaspends its days on the hard side of the screen — investigative research, digital forensics, and the study of how information gets used against people. We see, every day, how “just send it to our cloud” turns into a leak, and how the tools meant to help you quietly harvest what you feed them.

So when we wanted an AI companion on our own Macs, we couldn't use the ones that ship your screen, your keys, and your conversations to someone else's servers. We built the one we'd actually trust — and then we made it teach.

That's GuideLayer. Not an assistant that takes over. A tutor that shows you where to click, explains the workflow, and remembers it for next time — while your screen, your keys, and your history never leave your machine.

No cloud you didn't choose. No keys you didn't hold. Just the answer, on your screen.

The same principle, on your desktop

Sequenxaprotects organizations and the people behind them by refusing to take trust for granted. GuideLayer applies that same discipline to one person and one Mac: privacy isn't a promise in a policy — it's enforced in the code.

Your keys stay yours

Every credential lives in the macOS Keychain, device-only, never uploaded.

Your history stays private

Conversations sit in an encrypted store. Screenshots are off by default and kept in an encrypted vault only you hold the key to.

You can see the truth of it

A live readout shows which model and route are running right now. A Privacy Center shows your whole posture at a glance.

Our About page says security should be invisible until it matters, then undeniable. GuideLayer is built the same way — it stays out of your way until you ask, and when you look, you can verify exactly what it's doing.
