Agreement

These terms govern your use of GuideLayer software and guidelayer.app. GuideLayer is published by Sequenxa ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or purchasing GuideLayer, you agree to these terms.

The software

GuideLayer is a screen-aware AI assistant for macOS. It provides on-screen guidance, voice interaction, saved tutorials, and optional agent handoffs through AI providers you configure.

GuideLayer is distributed outside the Mac App Store. You are responsible for meeting macOS permission requirements (including Screen Recording and Microphone where you enable those features).

License

When you purchase a license, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GuideLayer on Mac computers you own or control, subject to these terms and any limits stated at checkout.

You may not reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or redistribute GuideLayer except where law explicitly allows it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use GuideLayer to:

• Break applicable law or third-party terms
• Access systems or data you don't have permission to use
• Interfere with the app's security, licensing, or update mechanisms
• Misrepresent GuideLayer as an official product of Apple or any AI provider

AI providers and your data

GuideLayer connects to AI services you authorize. Their availability, pricing, and data handling are between you and those providers. We're not responsible for outages, policy changes, or outputs from third-party models.

You're responsible for what you ask GuideLayer to do on your machine, including actions it suggests or performs in agent mode.

Purchases and refunds

Payments on guidelayer.app are processed by Stripe. Prices and what's included in a license are shown at checkout.

Refund requests are handled case by case. Contact us at the email below with your purchase details. Chargebacks without contacting us first may result in license revocation.

Updates

We may ship updates that change features, compatibility, or these terms. Material changes to terms will be posted on this page with an updated date.

Disclaimer

GuideLayer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free guidance, or that AI outputs will be accurate for your situation.

GuideLayer is not legal, medical, financial, or security advice. Verify anything important before you act on it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sequenxa is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of GuideLayer.

Our total liability for any claim related to GuideLayer or guidelayer.app is limited to the amount you paid us for the license in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or revoke a license if you breach these terms. You may stop using GuideLayer at any time by uninstalling it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
